Dr. Andresen studied at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen where he wrote his diploma thesis on assay development in the yeast saccharomyces cerevisiae. In 2005 Dr. Andresen gained his PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute for biophysical chemistry in Göttingen with a study on mechanistic- and structural analysis of Proteins and in vitro evolution of genetically encoded markers.
He continued his work for several years as a postdoc in the departments of Mitochondrial Dynamics (Prof. Jakobs) and Nanobiophotonics (Nobel-Laureate Prof. Hell). In this time he gained expertise in multiple technical and biological scientific areas. His main topics where the development of screening plattforms, cellular- and molecular biological research as well as the development and aplpication of advanced microscopy methods in living cells.
For the MBM Science Bridge Dr. Andresen work as a patent manager in the area of life sciences.
