Carbon PreForm - pre-prepared anode material

Carbon PreForm - pre-prepared anode material

Lithium-ion batteries represent the decisive component with regard to electromobility. Their electrical parameters significantly determine the range and performance of the electric vehicles. Scientists at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences developed a process for preparing anode material before producing the actual battery. The idea is to put the time- and energy-intensive process of initial charging in front and thus make battery series production less dangerous, faster and more scalable.

Brake dust collector with venturi suction generator

Brake dust collector with venturi suction generator for active boundary layer manipulation

For efficient collection of brake or tire dust, this present brake dust collector uses an air feed to shed the dust containing boundary layer off the surface. The suction needed, is provided by a venturi nozzle at the inner surface of the vehicle wheel.

Brake dust filter hood with final separator and vortex generator

Brake dust filter hood with final separator and vortex generator for passive manipulation of the boundary layer

For passive collection of brake dust, the present brake dust collector uses a final separator to remove the dust containing boundary layer from the surface and guide it into filter mats. The removal of the dust becomes even more efficient by integration of a vortex generator inside the hood.
